How to participate in data privacy legislation

How often do you engage with policy makers on data privacy issues? Have you ever wanted to input into the decision making? How go about it though?
Here is one example:

An article in the American Bankers Association titled “House committee seeks input on data privacy, possible legislation” caught my attention since it highlights that the possibility to help shape what data privacy will look like going forward:

Interested members of the public may send their comments and answers to the questions below by August 28, 2025, to fsc119@mail.house.gov.

There you have it. Yes, you can participate and shape policy if you are a member of the interested public. In this case, you have until 28th August to get your voice heard.
